Iced Mocha Recipe-How to Make an Iced Mocha

Iced Mocha RecipeA delicious iced mocha recipe for you! Try it, I’m pretty sure you’ll love it! You can also try this mocha frappuccino if you’d like a blended version.

This iced mocha recipe is not “blended”, but iced. So you do not need a blender, just whole or crushed ice! It is very quick and easy. Add whipped cream on top and you’re all set!

For the cocoa powder, I use Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate and I love it. They also have an unsweetened version. You can use Hershey’s chocolate too if you prefer or if you don’t have any cocoa on hand.

Also try adding a little vanilla extract for added flavor!

Amazing Greens Iced Mocha

by Coffeemom

Green Iced Mocha Recipe

I’ve been buying Amazing Grass Green Superfood off Amazon for a couple years now. I’ll be honest, I’m not going to say that I can necessarily feel a difference when I’m using it, BUT I feel a little better knowing I’m getting a little extra healthy greens in my diet on a regular basis that I might not otherwise. I do not recommend drinking it by itself…. tastes like alfalfa with a bit of flavor lol but mix it with some Zippfizz (there is a Berry Flavor Amazing Grass), SlimFast (or other health drink/smoothie), or a mocha and it blends pretty well.

Today I will show you a very simple recipe for mixing with a, mostly, healthy iced mocha. I am using real sugar in the recipe, but you can substitute with your favorite sweetener if you like.  I realize the cream is going to give it a high fat content, but hey, you’ve got the high fat, low carb thing going on now where cream is perfectly acceptable, besides being delicious! (the sugar kind of cancels out the low carb idea, but use a natural sweetener and there you go!)

Ingredients:

16-20oz cup

1 scoop of Chocolate Amazing Grass Green Superfood (click the link to find it on Amazon. I buy the big canister to save money but they do have a smaller container)

2 tablespoons sugar (or use your favorite sweetener such as Splenda, Stevia, etc….)

1 cup ice cubes

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup hot coffee, or 2 shots of espresso

1/4 tsp Vanilla extract or imitation vanilla

Top off with water (or more coffee if you like it stronger!)

First, gather your ingredients while you brew your coffee.

Next, dump a scoop of the Amazing Grass Green Superfood, the vanilla and the sugar into your cup

Add Vanilla, Amazing Grass and Sugar to Mocha

Pour in your hot coffee and stir well.

Pour in the hot coffee and stir well

The ice cubes come next

Add the ice cubes to mocha

Then the cream……. YUM!

Pour heavy cream into ice/mocha mixture

Stir well, and top off your iced mocha if you need to with water (or more coffee!)

Stir and top off mocha with water or coffee

White Chocolate Mango Iced Mocha

 White Chocolate Mango Mocha Recipe

So here’s a different mocha recipe. I was making my morning espresso drink and spied my DaVinci Mango Syrup
that we mainly use for the kids milk or smoothies, and I thought “Raspberry mochas taste great, why not try another kind of fruit?”  I figured it would taste best with white chocolate, so heres the recipe:

White Chocolate Mango Iced Mocha Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop or 1 heaping tablespoon of white chocolate powder.
  • 4 pumps or 1oz of Mango Syrup. I use Torani or DaVinci Mango Syrup
  • 2 shots or 1/4 cup of fresh espresso or brewed coffee.
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream or half and half (optional)

Recipe Instructions

Pull your espresso shots or brew your coffee.

Get a 16-20oz cup and add the white chocolate and mango syrup.

Add the espresso shots or coffee to the cup and stir well until the white chocolate is dissolved.

Add the ice cubes.

Pour in the milk and cream or half and half. If you are not using cream or half and half, you can just fill the cup up the rest of the way with milk.

Drink up and enjoy!!

How to Make an Iced Coffee at Home-Easy Iced Coffee Recipe

by Coffeemom

Iced Coffee with Cream

Iced coffee is an excellent drink for hot summer days. I never did understand how people could drink hot coffee on a hot day. Both my parents do it, and I know many other people do too. Strange, people, very strange!

So anyway, you want to know how to make an iced coffee at home? You say you want to save some money and not have to stop by that coffee shop all the time to get a simple iced coffee drink?

Well, here you go. Very simple, no flavors, just add some cream and sugar if you don’t like it black!

Iced Coffee Drink Recipe

First off, I am using a nifty mason jar for this. Gives it kind of a rustic/redneck feel 😉  If you want sugar in your iced coffee, add a tablespoon or however much sugar you want first.

Next, pour some fresh brewed coffee in, just enough to mix with the sugar and dissolve it.

Now, fill the glass full with ice and pour the fresh brewed coffee over the top. If you want to add cream, just remember to leave some room for it of course!

Now you can stir and drink it black, or……..

You can pour in the delicious half and half! This is what I would do,although I don’t like much coffee in my drinks, so normally I wouldn’t make a plain iced coffee! I love my flavored mochas!

Stir your iced coffee, drink and enjoy!

Raspberry Malt Iced Coffee Recipe-Summertime Pick me Up!

by Coffeemom

Raspberry Malt Iced Coffee

Well, I went to the store tonight to pick up some diapers and milk and I ended up buying some ingredients to experiment with for coffee drinks. One of those ingredients is Ovaltine Classic Malt.  Now, I always thought that malt was a form of chocolate until I got home and opened it up, and although it looks like a light colored chocolate, it didn’t really smell like chocolate (I’ve never drank Ovaltine before!). So I looked on the back, and sure enough, no cocoa to be found in the ingredients list.

So, I was planning on making a Raspberry iced mocha tonight so I could post the recipe on here, and then I decided to go ahead and use the Ovaltine and just see how it turned out.

I am very happy with how it turned out! It tastes wonderful! I even got some fresh raspberries from my plants out back and sprinkled some on top of the whipped cream. This is the earliest I’ve ever gotten ripe raspberries since it’s been so warm this spring. I think tomorrow I will make a fresh raspberry mocha frappuccino!

So then as I am sitting here typing this out, I’m thinking, What do I call it? It’s not a mocha….. Well, we’ll just call it a raspberry malt iced coffee 😉

Anyway, so here’s the recipe for you. You could easily substitute the Malt with chocolate, or chocolate malt to make an iced raspberry Mocha.

  •  1/4 cup fresh brewed coffee or 1-2 shots of espresso
  • 2 tablespoons Ovaltine Classic Malt
  • 1/4 cup Raspberry syrup. I use Torani Raspberry Syrup
  • 6 cubes of ice
  • Milk
  1. Pour the Raspberry syrup and Ovaltine into your cup.
  2. Pour hot coffee/espresso into your cup and stir until everything is desolved.
  3. Add 6 cubes of ice
  4. Fill the rest of the way with milk (quickly so the ice doesn’t melt too much first). I even topped mine off with a little bit of Half and half tonight 🙂
  5. Top with whipped cream and fresh raspberries!

As always, let me know what you think!
